STORY
部隊は総人口230万人弱、東京西部の大部分を占める巨大な学園都市。上条当麻は巻き込まれた戦いの中で、インデックスにかけられていた魔術をその右手で破壊し、その悲しい運命から解き放つことと引き換えに自分の記憶を失ってしまう。記憶喪失を知られないように日々を過ごす当麻だったが、2学期が始まってすぐのある日、新たなる事件に巻き込まれていく。科学と魔術が再び交差するとき、物語は始まる。
In the huge Academic City occupying the most of western Tokyo with the total population of nearly 2.3 million, Kamijo Toma gets involved in a battle and destroys the magic casted on Index with his right hand. In exchange of releasing Index from her tragic destiny, he loses his memory. Though Toma tries to spend time so as not to reveal his memory loss, he gets involved in another incident soon after the second semester started at school. When science intersects magic again, the story begins.
